Amanda and Simon decided to have an intimate wedding day with all their close friends and family at the San Francisco City Hall and to say that it was perfection is an absolute understatement! The city hall is an architecture and art lovers dream come true. All the beautiful detail of the wedding venue helped bring in tons of unique elements to their wedding portraits, ceremony photos and reception photos! Come take a look at why this wedding venue should 100% be one of your top choices!
An Art Lovers Dream Come True Intimate Wedding Day
Due to overbooking at the Fairmont, the bride and groom got blessed with a 2 night stay in the President Suite which is usually over $20K a night. It is an epic suite, many different rooms and a lot of history. One cool rumor is that Marilyn Monroe snuck in/out of the hidden door in the library to visit JFK – not sure if it is true but there is a hidden door! They did their first look on the balcony of the suite and we did some photos around the suite! They turned immaculate!! Once we were done with the first look we headed over to their wedding ceremony location: SF City Hall on the 4th floor – a super intimate place with tons of architectural detail!
Wedding Day Activities Ideas
After the ceremony they rented 2 trolleys which we drove around SF in. We went to the Golden Gate Bridge Vista Point first and did some amazing photos there too! Their whole day was amazing! I loved the fact that we got outside of the venue and went on an adventure all together. We had so many laughs and moments where it didn’t even feel like we were at a wedding anymore – just a bunch of friends enjoying each others company! After we stopped at Vista Point we made our way over to Palace of Fine Arts. It was dark by this point so I did all the photos with flash. We were dancing to some music and had the bride and groom run to each other (attempting the Dirty Dancing movie)! SO MUCH FUN!!
Afterwards, we ended up at their reception venue which was a cool bar in North Beach called Park Tavern. They had the private room upstairs. They did a super simple cocktail hour and then did a sit down dinner. This is where they did some funny and emotional toasts. Then we ended the night with sparklers in the park! It was honestly one of the best excursions in the city of SF I have experienced.
If you are on the edge of doing an adventure for your intimate wedding than this is your sign to just do it!
